Blimey. I hadn't really been paying the news any attention (for sanitys sake, heh) but this is extremely troubling. It of course underlines a suspicion I've always had - that the media (the US media in particular) are likely very often manipulated by the govt of the day for propaganda purposes.

I just hope in this day and age we're all cynical enough to look into these things further...

The term "chicken-hawks" sums up this particular pack of outlaws perfectly.

Powell is the only one who has seen active service, is largely ignored or handed futile missions and may now have completely discredited himself with the rest of the world. The others have used priviledge to avoid war, yet it will be fantastic for their current financial portfolios (and their egos), so lets go get some!

How the f**k do we get off this circus ride? It's not like the US media is going to blow the whistle on these guys, they've invested heavily in the MIC.
