seedy_girl's holding an Anti-Boredom Rally Tonight. Go along. I will be at the Shanghai Dumpling House, but not the dancing, due to being stuck at work until late.
Shanghai Dumpling House, on Tattersalls Lane, to the left off Little Bourke Street, if you're heading "up" from Swanston St. Not the Shanghai Noodle House, which is right next door... Their fried beef dumplings are really great and their prawn & pork wontons are the bestest wontons in the universe.
They don't have good vego options, really. You can try to order vegetarian stuff, but I think their stock is a pork broth stock, and that isn't going to change no matter what... There's odd things like yam cakes and bean paste dumplings which should be mostly vego...
Oh, and dishes are typically $6 or so. I really don't recommend ordering anything except the dumplings, none of their other dishes are particularly good... but the dumplings (and wonton) are really great.
You can blame faemortel for that one. It was her gothy graveyard photo shoot at which that image was taken. Hrm. That previous sentence is a bit awkward. What the hell. Also, puppchen's latest photojournal entry has a grey burmese in it almost identical to seedy_girl's cat, Anakin. I assume that's puppchen's cat?
I tend to do a lot of gothy graveyard shoots, myself. :D I have a real fondness for cemetery angels. And for you, so I suppose that's why I like the photo so much. :)
The kitty in question is indeed his -- her name is Mouse. But she's no bred cat; she's just a lucky kitty who got the prettiest fur in the litter. People assume she's some kind of purebred, but she's just lucky. :)
