Just thought I'd get in some early publicity. A reasonable number of you will remember singing the Carl Vine Choral Symphony with MUCS in 1999. Well, it's on again:
Carl Vine's Choral Symphony
Melbourne University Choral Society
In association with the Victorian College of the Arts Orchestra and School of Dance
Melbourne Town Hall
May 20th, 2004
'tis sounding interesting, although I think we could do with a few more bods that have sung it before. And the Ravel is sounding quite cool too. We just got the first chance to rehearse it earlier this evening, and even without any of the orchestration, it ain't bad.

You are a GRAMMAR GOD!
If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!
How grammatically sound are you?

Basically the choir is an orchestral part.
Love that sorta stuff...can't wait. You're right about that style of singing requiring concentration. It comes down to timing, and when you're not concentrating on wording and enunciation then you can really fine-tune the "blending" of voices no matter what harmonies are being asked for.
PS: the test thingy said this of me: You are a GRAMMAR GOD!
PPS: <PLUG> while I'm at it, anyone need the services of an experienced Technical Writer who, I might add, has godlike grammatical skills?
