Mondayitis, Oil Wars, and Requiem...
2003-Aug-11, Monday 13:12Mondayitis
Monday, Bloody Monday. I am definitely, as usual, suffering from inflammation of the Monday. Mondays always take longer than every other day, and I get far less done. Blah. Especially after going out on Friday night, getting a few hours sleep then setting off for the belowmentioned rehearsal camp... I also have MIFF reviews to write, but I'm way too exanimate (hurray for archaic mood words) to do them justice. Later on.
Oil Wars
Been a while since I posted anything political... so here's a snippet. Not about the oil, huh. Right. Go read this: As ordered, it's about oil - San Francisco Chronicle - 8 August 2003.
Requiem
Specifically, Mozart's Requiem, as completed by Sussmayer. One of what I like to refer to as the Choral Big Three (the other two being Handel's Messiah and Orff's Carmina Burana). MUCS is performing this very shortly:

Get them from me or another chorister directly, and soon. They're a lot more expensive via Ticketmaster, and you're also not likely to get in on the door, as the concert is pretty guaranteed to sell out. Rehearsal camp was on the weekend just gone, and it's sounding pretty damn good, so come along.

We have SCUNA camp this weekend, still don't know what we'll have in place of punkin soup.
