Cat-fu, and Fringe...

Cat-fu
Firstly, Dan's Data reviews kittens. A must read article that includes a proof-by-comparison-table that demonstrates clearly that kittens are better than puppies which are better than new video cards which are better than babies...
Also, some of you may know that seedy_girl and myself have recently sent our cat to live with rickybuchanan. It's been a bit difficult without a cat. I've been working from home a lot, and the house has been rather empty without a kitten to pounce upon me regularly. Well, this Friday, we head off to kidnap a different burmese cat from Geelong (where he terrorises the other two pets in that house), so that should be good.

Well, seedy_girl and I went to see Barrington's show - Listen to the Man in the Lab Coat on Saturday night. Very amusing, especially the "nerd alert" siren... It was particularly amusing as every time the "nerd alert" came on, I felt almost impelled to continue on with the details of whatever scientific explanation he was about to dive into the details of. V. good, as they say.
We also went to see Theatre In Decay's show Empire last night (Tuesday). More properly, I saw one fifth of the show, as it's a two actor play being run five times simultaneously with five different pairs of actors, each with a different director... Intriguing, and although there were brief moments of "hah, the voice of the writer is bleeding through here, these characters shouldn't be that articulate", they were not frequent enough to detract from the remainder of the experience. And it's certainly the smallest theatre I've been in... crammed into the back of a quite small car. I found it quite neat.
