Mutated "Nice Words About You" meme...
2004-Dec-16, Thursday 18:46
Nicked from
morganjaffit's "I don't do memes" post (which was modded from
unsworn's post which was itself modded from
hooper_x's post) and then further modded slightly by me. I may not get around to you immediately, but I'll get to you.
Nice Words About You
- Reply to this post to indicate interest in being spoken about by me.
- We all could use a boost now and then, so steal this for your journal and make someone else's day as well - if it takes your fancy. I'll say nice words about you regardless, so don't feel obliged to.
- I will then say a few nice words about you.
- I will also tell you what song(s) remind me of you. Might not be a song, though. Might be a book or a film or a comic or a live action home invasion replication.
- I will also tell you what fictional character you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.
- I will also give ONE WORD that I associate with you when I think of you.
Edit: Whee! This is fun! I seem to have developed a technique... Hit 4. first, then 1., 3., then 2. Sometimes 2. then 3. if inspiration takes that direction first.
Edit 2: Tips for people doing this themselves... A good dictionary and/or thesaurus is essential, especially for 4. but sometimes in 1. also. Online ones are fine. Flex 2. and 3. to be genres that you actually have plenty of familiarity with, and ideally that you have large scannable by eye collections of, and if you get stuck on a particular individual, go look at the collection. And seriously, start with either 1. or 4., depending on what hits you first for a particular person.
Gorgeousest
Edit 3: One for
seedy_girl, who is only just heading home from work, where she's been helping other people sort out the paperwork for moving into their shiny new houses just before the end of year... And who's been frantically busy in general for the past couple of months, and probably won't even get to read this post for a while.
1. You're the most caring person I know. We match up in a zillion little ways. We differ too, but mostly in complementary fashion. Honey. Snuggle. Kitten.
2. Tee Ni Nee Ni Nu from the album Short Cool Ones.
3. One of those movie star heroines who juggles about six different lives simultaneously, and loves them all, despite them being utterly different.

3. Having trouble naming a specific character... I want to say Miss Marple, but that's not right, so I'll list what I have in mind, and someone can tell me if such a character exists. A black and white movie character who's a costume designer. She's in love with a poet. They go through much difficulty trying to actually have dinner on their own due to interference by well-meaning friends. They finally get together despite it all and live happily ever after.
