Singing in the sun, ...

thorfinn... just singing in the sun ...
MUCS choir rehearsal camp for Carmina Burana last weekend. At a rather nice venue in Mount Evelyn, fully catered (enough food that I didn't go back for seconds! Amazing!), etc. Lots of singing, a fair bit of partying hard, and lots more singing. And today, I'm tired. Singing is damned hard work, and even harder when you're in a hall that isn't well ventilated on a warm sunny day.
Still, I'm significantly reassured - prior to this weekend, I was feeling a bit like I was the only member of the second bass section that was actually attempting to sing out and attempting to get the notes at the right volume and pitch. Post this weekend, I'm much happier - the tricky male choruses in In Taberna are down and solid, and I'm now sure I'm not the only B2 that can sing the right notes at hearable volume, with the right rhythm.
This concert will be good. 12th of October in Geelong, 13th of October in Melbourne. More later this week when I have confirmed details and available tickets.
